We boarded the Iron Crown charter boat early in the morning, and we were able to watch the sunrise over the water. We enjoyed the beautiful day spending time together, building comradery, and fishing for red snapper and tuna.

Red snapper can weigh up to 50 pounds, grow to a length of 40 inches, and live more than 50 years. When red snapper is young they live just off the coast in shallow waters. They move to deeper waters once they are reach their breeding size. The limit we were allowed to catch for red snapper was two per person per day.

There are many varieties of tuna. Tuna can weigh up to 550 pounds and grow to a length of 6.5 feet. They can swim between 44 and 62 miles per hour. Due to their speed they often swim long distances to migrate. They may migrate from the Gulf of Mexico, to the European Coast, and back to the Gulf of Mexico. The limit we were allowed to catch for tuna was three per person per trip.

Due to our fishing location, we were able to see plenty of marine life and were fortunate to see a lot of sharks in the water. We enjoyed seeing them in their natural habitat.

We had a great time showing appreciation and recognition for our team members. We are already looking forward to our next employee appreciation trip!
