Custom Fountain Project Progress

Check out this progress shot of the Corten-Steel water feature, custom-designed and built by EARTH FISRT - expected to be fully functional in early spring! Corten steel (also known as weathering steel) is a development in steel alloy that allows it to be placed on site, without the need for painting.  With time, the steel will take on a stable, rust-like appearance that both beatifies and protects - eliminating the need for harmful metal paints and keeping the environment as natural as possible.

This particular water feature is 28 feet long by 4 feet wide and 2 feet tall, and will be storing over 1600 gallons of harvested rainwater.  After a sandblasting process is completed, the interior will be sealed so that this feature will last for many years to come.  With its bubbling fountains, it’s not only beautiful – it’s functional! All the stored water from this feature will be recycled into the irrigation system, eliminating water waste and continuing our pursuit of an EARTH FIRST sustainable landscape.
